Hi, does anyone have the Zello app? This is a walkie talkie based app, you can add contacts and subscribe to channels. If anyone does, is there a way to mute a channel? Thanks for any ehlp in advance. If anyone wants my User ID, it's kitten84

actually there is no way to mute a channel there is a solomode this is like one on one chat this option is useful if you have created your private channel.
click onn settings and then on use solo mode.

Actually, that's not true, you can mute channels. When in your contacts list, go to the channel you wish to mute and then double tap on it. This should launch the details of the channel and allow you to speak and so forth. There is an options button in this screen, which you want to activate. After activating the options button, you want to find the disconnect channel button. Double tap that, and bye bye goes the audio from that channel. Simply repeat the above process and choose to connect the channel when you want to listen to it. My user name on there is kc8pnl if anyone wants to add me.

Question, my understanding of the solo mode is that when many channels are being listened too at once solo mode allows a user to isolate one channel and only listen to it. It's like solo on a mixing board. So, if your listening to 3 channels and want to hear one go to that channel and under the options click solo and only that channel should be heard. If I am incorrect please let me know and thanks. Please try it first to be sure. Woof!

Zello does seem to be a cool app. I'm having some trouble with the history screen. Once I get in there and finish reviewing whatever I need to, I can't get back out to where I can talk with the contact again. So how does one do that, leave the history screen and return to where you have the, "hold and speak," button and other options?

I've talked to several individuals on there, but haven't messed around with channels yet. I'm betting someone creates a Zone channel. There already is one for AppleVis.

There is a channel for the zone.

I like to call it the unofficial zoneBBS channel.

Do a search for zonebbs and you should find it.

Everytime I have visited the zone channel it's completely quiet. i do admit I'm not the one to start the conversation but am always looking for a good one to participate in.

To SisterDawn, double tapping the history button again is supposed to close history and take you back to the talk window. I've foundd that doesn't work all the time. I have also foundd that for some reason if you split-tap the history button it does in ffact get you out every time and bring you back to the talk window. I hope that was helpful and answered your question.

The way I close the history is by double tapping then simply touching anywhere on the screen, usually somewhere in the middle.

It works for me every time.

The only thing I don't get about zello is, say that you want to invite someone who is not a user already, how do you go about it? I have tried both going to the menu and hitting add a contact and going to options and add a contact from there but it won't work. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
